Self portrait

I pushed the oil portrait a bit further. I will probably leave it at this point and work at another image. I have learned a lot with this one. But sick of looking at my own face! :-)

As I said last time you posted an earlier draft, the best i'd manage would be a stick man...

Incon: Certainly did not think that - took you as you intended. :-)Thanks. I am taking a class from a painter who keeps nudging me toward fresh perceptions of tone and colour. He has an amazing gift for it. I go long more as a means of putting my head in slow, quiet, detached place, than an end, but I like it if they turn out reasonably. I am typing this 26 hours away from the front gate of home, in OZ. I'm near Washington DC. Just arrived & feels still slightly surreal.
