Casting a line or two in hope of a poem.
These verses are pure gold! Would you mind if I used them at school to teach punctuation to my students?
Thank you missmelliflous. Please go ahead and use the verse on a 'one-off', one time basis. These punctuation poems are soon to appear in print. For that reason I have removed the others from this blog. If you have not taken them from this site as yet for the school use requested please contact me and I will send them: firstname.lastname@example.org If they appear other than hand written on your 'blackboard', if you photocopy them for your students, for example, or make a transparency, please acknowledge copyright: © 2007 Steve Isham. Are you in the US? I will be there in March/April with school programs. Interested? :-)
YEs please Steve! I would like to use them too! So succinct and explanatory. You champ!
In print? Cool.I'd kinda forgotten you write books :)Might have to order one sometime for my lil' monkey :)Good luck with the punctuation one :)It'll be great!
Inc., why don't you let me put a book or 2 in the mail for your girl? Send me an email with an address. I'll personalize them for her if you send a name. :-) Thanks cath. I've sent them.
Fun to read, and to illustrate, I reckon (ahh, if only I had any skill in making comic strips ^_^).Hullo, Steve. It's been a pleasure taking the time to read your poetry here -- of which, dare I mention, I've most enjoyed the pieces "Fulfillments" and "How to Kill a Real Prophet."Be blessed. Cheers.
moral quandry.accept kindness or not...i feel i should buy...but personalised by the author etc.........
Thank you Steve, Of course I would not use your poems without acknowledging you as the author. I have not taken a copy of any of your poems as I did not have your permission. I was awaiting your response. I would happily purchase a book from you.I am an English/Drama teacher in Sydney, Australia. I will be in touch with you via email. Thankyou.
inc, a small pkg in the post.soulless, I am stunned by your poetry. I like them all, with their delcious inversions especially as in Chuck Sobriety, Repose, & Enclosure. frustrated I cannot revive your comments link even after many refreshes.
missmellifluous please try again. I did not recieve an email. I will happily send the poems for your use. Excuse my excess copyright caution. They will be published in a periodical. (If in a book its down the track a bit.) Meanwhile...
Oh dear, I have been encountering glitches in Haloscan commenting the past day or so. But all's well now (my fingers are crossed ^_^).Thank you for your appreciation of my works. Cheers.
